Empowering upcoming entrepreneurs - Potch Business School in conjunction with Potch Perfect

The Potchefstroom Business School of the North-West University acted as one of the Potch Perfect partners by sponsoring a workshop on “How to start and run your own Business” for all the upcoming entrepreneurs who participated in the Dr.Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality exhibition during Aardklop 2008. During Aardklop, the PBS was impressed by the astonishing potential and creativity of the exhibitioners, and Prof Tommy du Plessis, director of the Potchefstroom Business School, offered to teach them all some practical business skills in order to improve the quality of the exhibition in the future. The workshop took place on Thursday, 20 November at the library of Potchefstroom and was presented with the logistical help of Ms Tshepang Boloyi of the Dr. Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality.

Instead of sponsoring a course to the winners of the categories during the exhibition, Prof T du Plessis suggested that all of the participants are worthy of this reward and therefore each of them were more than welcome to attend the workshop. Marketing and basic Financial Management skills were also under discussion during the workshop presented by Prof du Plessis. After a very successful attempt of the PBS, in conjunction with Potch Perfect, the participants were awarded with certificates of attendance, handed to them by Ms Boloyi.
